At Pure Poison Jig Company, we know Douglas Lake.  One of Tennessee's crown jewels of bass fishing.  It's waters coarse through our veins and dance through our dreams.  It's a very special place. 
From it's tributaries way up river, including the confluences of the Pigeon and Nolichucky rivers into the French Broad, all the way downstream to the dam, and all points in between, we know them.
Our founder and CEO Mike Cole, spent his youth learning to fish there. That being said, take our advice when it comes to Douglas. Except for two relatively short windows each year, the fish on the main lake there like to live deep. They don't act like other bass. Which is why there are so many of them of size in the lake. 
So unless you are planning on using a drop shot, or riding in a jet boat over  shoals way the hell upstream in the middle of nowhere, leave the fairy rod in the rod locker. 

The Douglas Lake Essentials Kit contains 20 jig heads and 20 skirt colors we guarantee you bust heads on Douglas under any condition, weather, season of the year, or time of day or night...from the river to dam. There aren't any lightweight jigs in this kit for a reason.  
It contains 5 Smashmouth football heads in 1/2 ounce,  5 more in 3/4 ounce. It also contains 4 Hybrid Arky Jigs in 1/2 OZ,  with 2 Hybrid Arky Jigs in 3/8 oz. It contains 2 Poison Peanut Heads in 3/8 OZ and the kit is topped off with 2 Tour Edition Peanut Head Jigs with the 5/0 Trokar Pro V flipping hook.  Every jig style you need for Douglas.
