This Poison Peanut is the OG of the PPJ lineup. The very first jig model we ever produced for commercial sales in 2005 when PPJ first appeared online. It got upgrades in 2007 to make it perfect before mass production started. It hasn't changed one bit since...until now. Because sometimes you have to go backwards in time, to move forward into the future.   

The Poison Peanut Jig is our most popular Light weight model of living rubber jig. The small profile makes it an ideal finesse jig, perfect for flipping brush piles and rocky banks.

  It features our machine spun Poison Peanut head, with integrated skirt retaining collar and plastic barb, a full size weed guard, and a 2/0 Mustad EWG hook which delivers tremendous hooksets, usually in the upper jawbone, with a mere flick of the wrist.

It's extremely versatile and can be flipped, hopped, or used in swimming presentations with equal effectiveness.

This variant pays homage to its original ancestors with a hand tied with living rubber skirt. But it's cinched to the jig with braid. A modern upgrade that improves skirt flare, gives the jig more action, which makes this one way better than the old school variants tied with nylon thread. No more worries about big ones blowing up your jig with this one.  One look at our color selection gallery will show you nobody in the industry has more color schemes of living rubber than PPJ.
